About Us

E-Academy21 is a team of doctorally qualified professionals who provide dynamic solutions for government, education and community sectors. We have extensive international experience with project development, implementation and evaluation. - e.g. setting up a dynamic distributed learning projects for a large Alberta school divisions, setting up e-learning systems and training staff in higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  

 

Dr. Ken Ryba

Dr. Ken Ryba has substantial international experience with development and delivery of e-learning university courses and programs. As Director of the College of Education at Massey University in New Zealand, he was responsible for establishing new degree programmes in special education and educational psychology. He developed flexible e-learning programs for training school psychologists and teachers throughout New Zealand. At the University of Calgary in Canada, he was responsible for developing new online qualifications for teachers and school psychologists. In 2008-9, he was based in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia where he set up e-learning systems for higher education institutions and conducted workshops on active online and blended learning methods. Over the past year he was Leader of the National Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders (NPSTSL) Project in Qatar. This project was carried out on behalf of the Supreme Education Council to guide the development and improvement of school policies and teaching practices within 102 new Independent Schools in Qatar.

Dr. Linda Selby

Dr. Linda Selby has over 30 years experience at all educational levels as a teacher, researcher, professor, manager, consultant. Her professional training and research has been in the areas of teacher professional development, integrating technology and education and e-learning program development. She has published books and book chapters in the fields of teacher professional development, information literacy, special education and technology integration in schools. Dr. Selby has extensive experience in developing professional qualifications and delivering teacher professional development in education, information technology and special education.

During 2008-9, she was Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Royal University for Women in Bahrain responsible for pre-service teacher training. Dr. Selby has just completed a one year contract with Cognition Education working for the Supreme Education Council in Qatar retraining teachers in 21st century pedagogy and practice.

Dr Jac Andrews

Jac Andrews has over 30 years experience in educational and psychological program development. His professional training and research has been in the areas of educational psychology, school psychology, special education and inclusive education.  As an E-Academy 21 Director, he is currently working under contract to the Government of Alberta to formulate policy and development of distributed learning programs for a large Canadian school division. He is also a Professor in the Division of Applied Psychology at the University of Calgary and responsible for the development of school psychologists in training. Jac has delivered many workshops on inclusive education, thinking skills, learning strategies, and assessment to teachers in schools throughout North America and Europe.
